1. The customer will call or mail in
their order to the merchant account owner, at which time the
merchant will collect their credit card information.
The merchant account owner then enters the information into
a credit card terminal or PC based software.
If you will be accepting face to face sales
as well, it would be best to separate these
sales into two separate merchant accounts, and
forms of process. This will save you money,
and of course each merchant account from Cardstreet.com
is free, so there is no additional financial
burden on you to do so. Simply contact a representative
or fill in our online merchant account application for more information. We can get you set-up immediately.
2. The credit card terminal or PC will
dial a toll free number and connect to Cardstreet.com
Merchant Account Provider for authorization. If you do use a PC software program, you may be able to use your internet
connection for this process. Once connected,
the terminal or PC will send Cardstreet.com
Merchant Account Provider the information for authorization.
3. Cardstreet.com Merchant Account Provider then sends the information on to the credit card issuing bank. The issuing bank
then checks to see that #1, the card is valid, and
#2, that the amount requested is available on that
account. Once completed, the issuer will set aside
the requested funds for the purchase.
4. The issuing bank will then send an approval
or decline message back to Cardstreet.com Merchant Account Provider.
5. Cardstreet.com Merchant Account Provider then sends this information to the merchant account owner's terminal or PC software for printing
of the receipt for their records. It takes approximately
3-12 seconds to complete steps 1 through 5. It is
a very quick and easy process.
6. Once the business day is over, the merchant
account owner can manually settle their terminal/PC software, or
Cardstreet.com can automatically begin the final process
for you. Most merchant account owners prefer that Cardstreet.com automatically
settle their daily transactions at a set, specific
time each day. Once the settlement process is initiated,
the funds are transferred from the issuing banks of
your various customers' credit cards, to Cardstreet.com Merchant Account Provider, and then we immediately deposit them into your business
checking account. It takes approximately 2 days from
settlement of a transaction, till the time you receive
the funds in your checking account.
